Dr. Michel El-Hakim

DMD MD MSc, FRCD (C)

Dr. Michel El-Hakim is an accomplished surgeon and in collaboration with his goal-oriented team, provides his patients with the most beautiful smile science can offer. Dr. El-Hakim received his dental and medical degrees from Montreal University. He completed his clinical residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at McGill University with a Master of Science degree. After residency, he completed a fellowship in maxillofacial oncology and microvascular surgery at the University of Maryland. Dr. El-Hakim was appointed the director of the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at McGill University from 2008 to 2013. He is an examiner and a member of the council of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. El-Hakim was the president of the Foundation for the Canadian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and also serves as Vice-President on the board of the Quebec Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Association. Dr. El Hakim is a well-known surgeon that masters the technical aspect of his work as much as he cherishes the human aspect behind it.

Dr. Nicholas Makhoul

Dr. Nicholas Makhoul is an outstanding surgeon and leads a remarkable surgical team determined to provide the best possible treatment to his patients. Dr. Makhoul received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry with distinction from the University of Alberta, he received his DMD at McGill University and his MD at the University of Michigan. He completed his clinical residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery(OMFS) at the University of Michigan. After residency, he also completed an accredited fellowship in Maxillofacial Oncology and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Makhoul is dedicated to promoting academic maxillofacial surgery excellence. He is the Chief of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the McGill University Health Center. Additionally, he is the Associate Dean of postgraduate dental education at McGill University. He is a fellow and an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Makhoul’s contribution and dedication to his work have made him a highly respected member of the maxillofacial community and a first-class surgeon focused on the well-being of his patients.

Dr. Jordan Gigliotti

DMD MD CM FRCD(C)

Dr. Gigliotti is a board certified, fellowship trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon. A native of British Columbia, Dr. Gigliotti majored in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University. He then completed his dental degree from the University of Manitoba and his medical degree from McGill University. He underwent seven years of training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at McGill University.

Dr. Gigliotti completed an additional year of fellowship training in head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham/O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Here Dr. Gigliotti developed an expertise in the surgical management of patients with head and neck tumors and advanced facial reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Gigliotti is an Assistant Professor at McGill University in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he is actively involved in the surgical education of residents, research and clinical care. He is the author of numerous research articles and textbook chapters. Dr. Gigliotti is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, l’Association des spécialistes en chirurgie buccale et maxillo-faciale du Québec, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
